July 13TH VSG

I had The Vertical Gastric Sleeve done. Wanted to document each day, but was in pain and tired. I'm not going to sugar coat it I was in PAIN I stayed 2 days in the hospital, had to drink this nasty syrup, to see if I had any leaks. I had none the Dr did say I had acid re flux so I wasn't allowed to sip water until Thursday night (surgery was on a Wednesday). I went home Friday happy to be home in my own bed, Dr gave me a script for Demorel,
my husband tried like 4 pharmacies was not in stock. I was in pain the weekend, and my incisions were itchy (five incisions) come to find out allergic to the tape the Doctor put on my stomach. So I went for follow-up visit last Friday lost 16 pound,s you heard me 16! was so happy I guess drinking liquids only is like fasting. The Doctor was shocked when he saw my stomach, he gave me a script for Steroids I felt better. I'm now on soft food I have no appetite I force myself to eat, I don't think about food like I used to (I think about food don't get me wrong). Watching the Travel or The Food Network I watch but don't wish I was eating.

Preadmission Testing and this Blue bracelet

I went for my preadmission testing today. It started to hit me surgery is in 5 days, I'm getting nervous. I believe it's normal to feel nervous why did that feeling hit me while testing? I had an EKG, blood drawn, urinalysis, and chest x-ray. The technician put a blue plastic bracelet on my right wrist, similar to a hospital bracelet she said it's for just in case I need a blood transfusion**crickets** and told me I had to wear the bracelet until I came back for surgery. Huh, I have to wear this bracelet until Wednesday? I work up until Tuesday. I don't want to go to work with a Hospital looking bracelet. She proceeded to advise me, the hospital will charge me for another blood match if I didn't have the bracelet on. So I'm walking around with a blue hospital bracelet.
**My Cat Friska is resting on the kitchen floor don't mind her. Focus on the lovely blue bracelet.**
